When you start a knitted glove factory, you will receive orders from different customers with requirements of printing their logos on the gloves.

Before choosing the best method to print logos on gloves, you need to know the pros and cons of the different printing methods.

Generally speaking, there are mainly 3 ways of printing logos on knitted gloves.

1.Ink Pad Printing

Ink pad printing is the most common way  used in the glove industry. The machine is small and the ink is cheap, it’s widely used for printing logos on the 7g/10g cotton/polyester gloves.
Ink pad printing is ideal for printing logos or designs in one color or two colors, at most four colors. The more colors used, the longer the process will take. And a drying system is also required to speed up the logo drying when you make bulk production.
While if the logo contains more colors or the logo size is too small but with much content, or you want the logos with some thickness on the gloves, then you will need to choose other printing methods.

2. Screen Printing

Screen printing is also called silkscreen printing, a frame with the stencil and mesh is the key part for logo printing.

The logo printed by this method has a certain thickness, clear pattern, and unique, three-dimensional sense, which is an ideal method for printing high-quality gloves.

But It is not ideal for super complex multi-color designs. The reason is that after printing one color, the pattern needs to be dried once, and printing multi-color needs to be dried several times, which is very time-consuming and reduces the output.

If you want to make both dotting and logo printing on gloves, then you can consider purchasing the latest model of silk screen printing machine which can make both dotting on the palm and print the logo on the back by simply changing the printing frame.

3. Heat Transfer Printing

Heat transfer printing is the process of applying heat-applied materials to various items with a heat press.

This method incorporates a design printed on a special paper called transfer paper.

If you want to print some complex designs on gloves, the heat transfer method is ideal for you, however, it won’t work well with dark gloves liner because of its translucent dye.

Since hot pressing takes a certain amount of time, heat transfer machines usually have two or more workstations to reduce workers’ idle time and thus increase production

Conclusion

The choice of printing method needs to be based on the size of the pattern, the number of colors, the degree of complexity, the special requirements of customers, as well as the output, cost, and other comprehensive considerations, so as to choose the best solution.
